Review:

A bouquet of sweet red berries rises up from a glass.  A sip reveals flavors of watermelon, cherry, and raspberry along with hints of cotton candy.  A very approachable wine, fans of light fruit with a touch of sweetness will enjoy this bottle.

Loma Prieta 2010 Pinotage

Grape(s):   Pinotage

Region: Lodi

Price: 40-45

Review:

Aromas of plums, dates, licorice, and all-spice greet the senses. Flavors of cherry, plum, and medjool dates meld with suggestions of anise, sweet spice, and butterscotch on the palate.  A smooth, layered wine, fans of plush, approachable reds will enjoy this bottle. 439 cases produced.

Vino Valpredo 2011 Bianca Mia

Grape(s): 60% Chardonnay and 40% Sauvignon Blanc

Region: Sonoma County

Price: 10-15

Review:

A bouquet of citrus fruits, melon, and minerals greets the senses.  The palate offers flavors of pear and tangerine highlighted by floral and fresh mineral notes.  A fairly bright wine with an effervescent character, fans of crisp, dusty whites will enjoy this bottle.
