Mariposa Agave Nectar Liqueur Cocktails

 

A natural sweetener similar to honey, agave nectar continually grows in popularity as an ingredient that has become a favorite among top mixologists. With the creation of Mariposa Agave Nectar Liqueur, agave nectar is transformed into an elegant spirit product. This artisanal liqueur is a highly mixable, easy-to-use sweetening agent created from the finest agave nectar, combined with 100-percent agave tequila and premium vodka. Here are a couple of our favorite cocktails to make with it.

 

Mariposa Mojito

1 oz. Mariposa Agave Nectar Liqueur

1 oz. Silver Rum

0.5 oz. Lemon Juice

0.5 oz. Lime Juice

2 sprigs of Mint

4 oz. Soda Water

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Pour into Collins glass over fresh ice and top with soda water.

 

Viceroy Daiquiri

0.75 oz. Mariposa Agave Nectar Liqueur

1.5 oz. Silver Rum

0.5 oz. Lime Juice

0.5 oz. Grapefruit Juice

0.75 oz. Simple Syrup

Combine all ingredients intop blender with one cup of ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into hurricane glass and garnish with lime wheel and cherry on top.

  1. [...] Straight out of the bottle its nose is laced with the previously cited rose oil and gardenia followed by citrus notes and backed by the unmistakable tickle of Tequila. It is sweet and fruity with a further hint of peach and might actually make a great perfume. On the palate it is medium body with a sweet honey forward followed by peach, orange and grapefruit notes. There is the slightest hint of Tequila and Vodka in the distant background. It is very tame and plays nice with the tongue. The finish is smooth and sweet.
