The idea behind these 2 very different drinks is that the first is light and an aperitif with flavours complimenting the floral and zingy notes of Oxley. The second is very much a richer and more intricate balance in flavours. It is designed as a dessert drink or digestif. The chocolate and bitter flavours of the bitters and the balsamic, perfectly round the rich taste of the strawberries, and the pepper speaks to the spices in Oxley.
2 oz OXLEY Gin
0.75 oz Funkin Strawberry puree
2 barspoons aged balsamic vinegar or 0.5 oz depending on balsamic intensity
0.75 Martini Rosato
Large Pinch of Cracked Black Pepper
Dash Xocolatl Mole bitters.
Top with MARTINI Prosecco
Glass: Old Fashioned
Garnish: Dark Chocolate dipped strawberry
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker except Prosecco, shake and strain into a large Old Fashioned glass with Koldraft ice. Top with Prosecco and garnish with a dark chocolate dipped strawberry.
OXLEY R.A.F – Royal Air Force
1.5 oz OXLEY Gin
0.75 oz lavender syrup (monin)
0.75 oz lemon juice
0.25 oz Luxardo Maraschino
2 Dashes lavender bitters
Glass: Coupe or Martini
Garnish: Lavender sprig
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, shake and double strain into a Coupe or a Martini glass. Garnish with a small sprig of fresh lavender.
