Kali Hart is named for Robbert Talbott’s youngest daughter, Kalin Hart. First introduced in 1999 (1997 vintage), the style of this wine is meant to showcase regional characteristics of the cool growing area of the Monterey County.

This is a lovely, well-balanced Chardonnay. The nose is intoxicating with layered aromas of pineapple, citrus fruits, melon, white peach, butterscotch, and oak. On the palate, the wine is smooth, yet still crisp, as flavors of melon, orange, and pineapple unfold into a soft vanilla finish. A standout Chardonnay from this past year, the fact that it’s under $15 is a wonderful bonus.
