A blend of predominately Cabernet Sauvignon with the other four Bordeaux varietals, it is unmistakably Rutherford. Blackberry, burnt currant, and dark chocolate aromas rise up from a glass with a lovely backdrop of dusty minerals. The blackberry and currants return on the palate, with complicating notes of vanilla, coffee, and cocoa. Rare grilled lamb or juicy tri-tip would make excellent pairings.
