E. Guigal 2006 Cotes-du-Rhone Red Blend
A lovely blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre, it is a very nice wine for about $15. The rich, fruity nose opens up with cherry, red plum, and blackberry aromas. The palate is silky smooth, with very light tannins, delivering flavors that mirror the nose, building to a highlight of pepper at the finish. Meant to be consumed young, enjoy it with turkey, grilled chicken, or pork chops.
