The result is a big wine with a bold reddish-purple hue, a nose full of dark fruit and oak, offering sumptuous flavors of black-cherry as well as ripe plum. A tinge of licorice and sage round out the wine’s intense palate. A touch of Rutherford dust lingers on the finish, along with hints of coffee. With a full body and firm tannins, this wine can hold up to rich red meats like a bold steak or roast lamb.
