Tarima Hill 2015 Monastrell

A combination of cherry, blackberry, and plum aromas meld with nuances pepper, smoke, and floral earth on the nose. The palate has lively flavors, with cherries and bramble berries flowing into elements of pepper, cigar box, and spring flowers. This has a good intensity and solid layers for its price range. Fans of Spanish reds should pick this up.

Tasting Notes:

The nose offers aromas of melons, lemons, and green apples, accented by fresh herbs. Flavors of lemon, green apple, and melon come forth on the palate, moving into floral and herbal whispers. Fairly crisp with lively flavors, good for the price point.

Tasting Notes:

Lots of strawberries and raspberries meld with hints of red currants and herbs on the nose. Those ripe red berry flavors return on the palate, moving into whispers of thyme and apple skin. Nice fruit and a fresh acidity make this a solid wine for the price.

Tasting Notes:

The nose brings together aromas of grapefruits, lemons, passion fruits, and wild grass. Lively grapefruit flavors play with ripe tropical notes on the palate, finishing on expressions of wild grass. A nice mouth-feel and friendly acidity make this a go to wine for fans of NZ Sauv Blanc.
