Authentic Chinese Hot Pot Dinner_Screenshot (475)This Hot Pot Dinner is the exact dinner that was served during my visit to Chongqing, a thriving middle class city in China of over 34million in population. As the entire visiting California contingency ate at the mayor of Chongqing’s house in May of 2013, we delighted in this authentic Chinese presentation. Now, here  I find it quite accidentally on the web as a feature of a restaurant in Frankfurt. I am leaving this post intact so if you are ever in Frankfurt, you can visit this restaurant.

Chinese Hot Pot Dinner, Palms Garden Restaurant Frankfurt

Who really wants to eat authentic Chinese should visit the restaurant Palms Garden in Frankfurt. The Restaurant is situated near the Frankfurt main station.

It is striking that many Chinese people eat at this restaurant, which is also a sign that you can also get original Chinese food here. The atmosphere is very close to a hot pot restaurant in Hong Kong, which we visited a few years ago.

But here in Palms Garden, in addition they also offer sushi, Mongolian grill, barbecue (BBQ), dim sum, salads and all sort of Chinese buffet meals. There are also dessert and a beverage for a flat rate charge of just one euro. And the price for the buffet and hot pot is unbeatable and a lot cheaper than our hot pot dinner in Hong Kong … Actually “MUCH CHEAPER” than in Hong Kong.

We came here mainly because of the Hotpot offer. The hot pot you can get for only € 5 per table added to the buffet. The ingredients such as vegetables, fish, seafood, meat for the hotpot were all freshly and tasted fine.

There are different types of hot pots. We had opted for the variant “Yuanyangguo”. Here in the middle of the pot is divided into two equal halves. On the one hand a red, sharp broth and on the other side a light, non-sharp broth.
