At Hunt Cellars, they specialize in “memorable wines.” Winemaker David Hunt is quite well known in the wine community for his amazing barrel work, and once you’ve tasted one of his bottles, it’s not uncommon to wonder if you should drink anything other than Hunt Cellars wine.

Review

Fruit aromas of cranberry, bright raspberry, and plum combine with notes of coffee and smoked ham for a truly delightful nose. The palate is soft and smooth, with ripe red fruit moving into savory accents of coffee, smoked meat, and vanilla. This is a far cry from a robust, pepper-driven Syrah. Anyone that enjoys Syrah with finesse instead of power ought to try this bottle.
