The Galante Family has a long history in the Monterey area. Owner Jack Galante’s great grandfather, J.F. Devendorf, was the founder of the town of Carmel. In 1994, Jack Galante decided to build a winery and use some of his grapes to produce ultra-premium estate bottled wines.

Like so much out of the old west, this Pinot Noir needs time to settle down and breathe. Once it opens up, bold gamy aromas blend with notes dark plum and ripe cherry. The palate is bright, with a crisp acidity that carries flavors of plum, cranberry, toasty spices, and hints of game. This is not your run-of-the-mill Pinot, so if you’re looking for a bottle that’s out of the ordinary, give this one a try.
