ATC 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Region: Napa Valley

Price: 10-15

Review:

Aromatics of currants, blackberries, and medjool dates mingle with hints of toasty oak and caramel. Blackberry, cassis, medjool date flavors emerge on the palate accented by suggestions of oak and vanilla. A smooth, supple Cab that works just as well with food as it does as an aperitif.

ATC 2011 California Red Blend

Region: California

Price: 10-15

Review:

Aromas of bright red berries greet the senses. A sip reveals flavors of cherry, raspberry, and blackberry combine with notes of leather and cocoa.  A light, lively wine that’s very approachable, enjoy it on its own or pair it with a dish like grilled chicken.

Vidal Vineyards 2004 Merlot

Region: Napa Valley

Price: 5-10

Review:

A bouquet of dark fruit and earthy nuances rises up from a glass. Flavors of cassis, cherries, and dates meld with suggestions of dark chocolate, earth, and spice on the palate.  A rather dry wine exhibiting a mature flavor-profile, fans of lighter, slighter earthy red will enjoy this bottle.
