Renowned award-winning Bay Area architect William Turnbull founded Johnson Turnbull Vineyards in 1979. Turnbull Cellars was designed to be low-key and in tune with its environment, and is a classic example of a small hands-on Napa Valley winery. A bouquet of blackberries, currants, cherries, and mocha greets the senses. With a sip, flavors of blackberry, boysenberries, and cassis emerge, highlighted by notes of dark chocolate, toasty oak, and dusty earth. A supple Cab that fans of dark, rich reds will enjoy. 486 cases produced.
