Wines of the Week: Wrath Vineyards – Monterey County
At Wrath, they are all about place. They strive to illuminate the terroir of their vineyards in all of their wines. While part of that mission has to do with choices made during production, another important aspect is the manner in which they take care of the land. To that end, the folks at Wrath have been working with the Central Coast Vineyard team to earn a SIP (Sustainability in Practice) Certification. Holding the certification means that the winery operates in a fashion which protects and preserves the planet as well as the surrounding community. Of course, when place is important to you, it’s the only way to go.
Here are a few reviews of Wrath’s current releases by our tasting panel:

Aromatics of pear and pineapple meld with notes of sweet spice and wet stone on the nose. The palate offers tropical fruit flavors with suggestions of citrus and fresh minerals. A nice, bright Chardonnay that’s doesn’t have the usual dose of oak and vanilla. If you like the variety drier and a bit more lively, give this bottle a try.
