Nebbiolo is a late-ripening variety that enjoys the moderate summers and long autumns of Piedmont and Lombardy, requiring as much ripening time as possible to balance its natural high acidity. Akin to that other terroir-specific varietal, Pinot Noir, it also requires patient and passionate growers who possess an intrinsic understanding of its needs.

Bright plum and cherry aromas blend nicely with hints of cola, anise, and a few floral notes. With a sip, the lively red fruit reemerges alongside notes of violet and rose petals as well as a touch of vanilla. A lighter body and gentler tannins than the 2005 vintage make this a softer, more straightforward wine. If you like light, fairly dry wine with focused red fruit flavors, this is a bottle for you.
