Owner Jack Galante selects one of his favorite “Cowboy Philosophies” to print on the back on every bottle from the vineyard. The saying he picked for the Petite Verdot reads: “There are two theories to arguin’ with a woman. Neither one of them works.”

Not planted in significant quantities in California, Petite Verdot is a rustic grape. The nose carries aromas of dusty earth, cherry, and currants. On the palate, flavors of black cherry, earth, black tea, and notes of oak reveal themselves. Characteristic firm tannins give the wine a solid backbone. Pair a bottle with a hearty meat chilli.
