Hunt Cellars 2004 Hilltop Serenade Syrah / Paso Robles
Hunt Cellars promises memorable wines, and this Syrah does not disappoint. A rich, layered nose brings fruit aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, and cranberry. Accents of spice, cocoa, and hickory bacon fill out the bouquet. A sip envelops the palate with flavors of blackberry and cranberry, with a zing of pepper, as well as gamey notes, carried by a chewy, yet still elegant structure. This is a very nice wine.
